Shortly after comptroller Brad Lander was taken into custody by federal agents while accompanying immigrants on Tuesday, a call went out from the Working Families Party to its other endorsed mayoral candidates: Get down to 26 Federal Plaza. Now. 

Within an hour, from across the five boroughs, the candidates, would-be rivals for City Hall, began to show up and call for Lander's release.
