At a chaotic rally on the steps of City Hall organized by members of his team who have been raided by federal authorities but are now backing his reelection effort, Mayor Eric Adams kicked off his 2025 campaign by standing in front of more than a hundred of his supporters and asking New Yorkers to let him "finish the job."
"You can call me all the names you want," Adams said, after he was interrupted twice by three separate protesters who screamed that he was "a fucking criminal."
"But I'm only going to answer to one: Mayor Adams."
