Seddio on the Stand

Brooklyn Democratic Party powerbroker Frank Seddio finally took the witness stand Tuesday in a sanctions hearing related to his handling of a case involving $2 million in missing escrow money. It did not go great.

On Tuesday, as part of a sanctions hearing stemming from his legal representation of an alleged scam artist, Brooklyn Democratic Party power broker Frank Seddio finally took the witness stand Tuesday afternoon to address allegations that he improperly abused the legal process in the Brooklyn Courts to prevent his client's alleged victims from getting their money back.

His response? Those emails that were sent out under his name from his professional email account had actually been sent by an unknown other party without his knowledge or consent, and that he filed the lawsuit that sought to block a pair of international investors from getting back the $2 million they had put in escrow without reviewing any documents to verify that his client, Yechiel "Sam" Sprei, a Brooklyn businessman accused in lawsuits and a federal criminal case of defrauding multiple people of millions of dollars, actually had any legal claim to justify the suit. Seddio and Sprei did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
