The pattern for a Knicks victory in these playoffs has been clear: Fall behind an almost insurmountable deficit, and then, miraculously, scratch and claw your way back into the game and wrest victory from the jaws of defeat. They did this against the Pistons, Celtics (twice), and, in one instance, the Pacers.
Gee, you might say to yourself, I don't quite know how long a team can keep that up. Seems like a precarious knife's edge of hope to balance one's championship dreams on.
To which I say….wrong! You're wrong! In fact, the Knicks have these godforsaken Pacers right where they want them. Why? Because think about it for a minute. What's the series-wide equivalent of being down twenty points in a do-or-die game?
That's right: Being down 3-1 in a series. What's better than just overcoming an almost insurmountable deficit in a game? DOING IT FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES.
Oh yeah, we're rocking.
