It's a Chopped Cheese Feast at the New, Charmingly Corny Bodega City

The Bodega Truck guy just opened two storefronts, in Williamsburg and near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx

It feels like a throwback inside the new Bodega City that opened on Havemeyer Street in Williamsburg last week. As owner Jeremy Batista readily admits, everything about this counter service spot is designed to evoke the bodegas of NYC's "golden age," whenever that might have been for you.

"I was born and raised in the Bronx, in Pelham Bay and Hunts Point," Batista told Hell Gate. "And growing up my mother ran a bodega, so with this place I wanted to make it nostalgic, give people a childhood feeling, keep it true to the New York I grew up in, and pay tribute to my mother and the old New York that everybody loves."
