On Monday, Zohran Mamdani made the first two official appointments of his incoming mayoral administration, naming Dean Fuleihan his first deputy mayor and Elle Bisgaard-Church his chief of staff.
Fuleihan is an extremely familiar name around City Hall, having acted as Bill de Blasio's budget director before becoming his first deputy mayor. And while Bisgaard-Church has no experience at City Hall, she was the architect of his successful mayoral campaign, as well as his chief of staff in the New York State Assembly.
