Mayor Adams Takes Albania: 5 Notable Facts About the Mayor's Balkan Voyage

The mayor has a bad case of Albania Mania.

Mayor Eric Adams, fresh off ending his mayoral reelection bid and resigning himself to serving only one-term as mayor, jetted off over the weekend to Albania for four full days, according to his press office. 

Why does the mayor of the largest city in the country need to spend four days in a Balkan country with roughly the same population as Brooklyn?

According to the mayor's press office, the purpose of the visit is to "meet with government, business, and tech leaders to promote economic activity and tourism to New York City."

Nice! Thank you, sir! We believe this is all entirely aboveboard. Famous Albanians Dua Lipa and Rita Ora and Action Bronson might agree.
