It is with a bittersweet sigh that we announce that Hell Gate's operations manager, Nadia Tykulsker, is leaving us. After almost three and a half years working on our books, stage-managing our events, and corralling a bunch of artist-type journalists to ensure that we continue to run a functional business—a rare and possibly inimitable balancing act—Nadia is returning to political organizing.
We will miss Nadia's infectious laugh, her unwavering belief in Hell Gate as a business, and her ability "just to name" exactly what is going on and what needs to be done next. (She's also a great fucking hang.) Hell Gate would not exist without Nadia's numerous contributions to our structure, our processes, and our morale; she has been instrumental in getting us to where we are today, and we will forever be grateful for her efforts.
Fortunately for everyone—most of all, us—this will not be the end of Nadia's involvement with Hell Gate. Not only will her legacy live on in our shared Google Drive until the sun explodes or we are banned from the platform, but we are lucky enough to be welcoming her as the newest member of our advisory board. Good luck, Nadia!
