NYC Alamo Workers ended their two-month strike and declared victory after Alamo Drafthouse's parent company agreed to rehire the 70 workers who were laid off in February.
Hundreds of workers and their supporters protested the firings of 47 workers.
The union, which is still without a contract, said a cut of 70 people has made remaining jobs untenable.
Spirits were high at a one-day strike protesting the closure of the Seventh Avenue Starbucks, despite seven arrests and a bleak forecast for the national labor movement.
