After a Bruising, Freezing Month, the Nurses Strike Is Ending

Nurses have seemingly won agreements that will give them a lot, but not all, of what they were after.

After four freezing weeks on the picket line, it finally looks like the nurses strike in New York City is nearing its conclusion. 

According to the New York State Nurses Association, the union that represents nurses at the Mount Sinai, New York-Presbyterian, and Montefiore hospital systems, agreements have now been reached at Mount Sinai and Montefiore, which together account for approximately 10,500 of the striking nurses.
