On Saturday, President Donald Trump kickstarted another hideous and pointless war in the Middle East without congressional approval or any actual pretense of buy-in from the American people, by launching a series of strikes on Iran with—who else—Israel, in what has been dubbed "Operation Epic Fury," because everything fucking sucks now.
In addition to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hundreds of people, including children attending an all-girls elementary school in Minab, Iran, are dead in an operation Trump has claimed should be over relatively quickly, as soon as terrorism is eradicated, the impossibility of Iran obtaining nuclear capabilities is assured, and "freedom" for the Iranian people has been secured. Where have we heard that one before?
