It finally happened: President Donald Trump's Justice Department has ordered federal prosecutors in New York City to drop all criminal charges against Mayor Eric Adams.
Adams, who was indicted in September for corruption and alleged to have accepted illegal foreign campaign donations and flight upgrades in exchange for speeding along building inspections, has been cozying up to President Donald Trump in the months since Trump's election, even apparently taking steps to weaken the City's sanctuary laws and promising to not publicly criticize the president. And now, it looks like the mayor's nakedly self-interested, pathetic campaign has paid off.
