Over the past 15 days, Governor Kathy Hochul has: fought the orders of a state judge who said she must enforce the state's climate laws; announced she was going to delay the implementation of the state's move to all-electric buildings; approved a climate-killing pipeline that will run through New York Harbor from the South Shore of Staten Island to the Rockaways, five years after it was originally denied; and allowed a cryptocurrency outfit to keep running a dirty fossil fuel plant to mine digital currencies.
Why is she doing this? What's the point? According to her office, it's not a ruining-the-planet approach, it's an "all-of-the-above approach" in the name of "affordability."
