If you have a seat at Eric Adams's Table of Success, you might have noticed some empty chairs lately. Some people left the table willingly, others by force, and to be quite honest, you definitely don't want to be the one person left, stuck splitting the check with Adams himself (especially because he might have trouble paying for it).
But if you're Queens State Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar, you've kind of made your inseparability from the mayor "your thing." You two share a birthday, and so, so much more. You love going to the mayor's flag-raisings, appearing at random press conferences of his that are unrelated to your district, and you've even made the mayor's opponents your opponents, by deciding to primary Adams antagonist Jumaane Williams in the race for public advocate. Adams warmly refers to you as a "beast." You even stuck with the mayor after his indictment.
But apparently, all things must end, and sometimes, even the most steadfast supporter must make a break for the exit. During the worst week of his time as mayor, we are sorry to report that Jenifer Rajkumar is wavering on being a part of team Get Stuff Done.
"I'll circle back with you on that question," @JeniferRajkumar tells @InsideCityHall when asked if she'd endorse @NYCMayor for reelection.

(Rajkumar is one of his closest legislative allies in Albany, so anything short of an endorsement is a loss for him.)
No!!!!!
