PBS Removes LGBTQ Teaching Resources in Response to Trump's Executive Orders

New York's PBS station, WNET, helped produce the materials with NYC Public Schools and the City Council.

In response to President Donald Trump's executive orders, the Public Broadcasting Service has removed a resource for LGBTQ teaching materials from the internet.

Teachers looking for the video interviews, conversation guides, and discussion questions previously available via PBS LearningMedia at Understanding LGBTQ+ Identity: A Toolkit for Educators Collection are now met with a 404 error message. Resources for educators on other subjects, like "Science" and "Social Studies," are still functioning.
