A majority of Americans do not trust journalists to act in the public's best interests—and how could they, if some of the most prominent practitioners are freewheeling fuckbois?
Last night's Rosalía show at Madison Square Garden came with a bombshell: songwriter and performer Maggie Rogers revealed, in front of a sold-out audience of 20,000 people, that a New York Times journalist took her on a magical date, only to learn that he actually had a girlfriend.
Rogers, who was relating the tale to Rosalía in a video "confession," complete with a Catholic privacy screen, said a friend set her up. "They're single, they're handsome, and they work for the New York Times," Rogers recounted.
"Ohhhweee, a journalist?" Rosalía says, as the crowd purrs, knowing they're about to get a juicy story. "You've got to be careful," Rogers replies.
