An Unsmiling Jessica Ramos Embraces Andrew Cuomo for Mayor of New York City

"This is not about forgiveness. This is not about forgetting anything," Ramos insisted.

At a raucous union hall event in Lower Manhattan on Friday afternoon, Queens State Senator Jessica Ramos told New Yorkers to vote for Andrew Cuomo, the man she referred to as "the Democratic Party's Trump" just three weeks ago.

"This year's race has really come down to two candidates. And only one of them has the experience, toughness, and the knowledge to lead New York through what's about to come. And that's Andrew Cuomo," Ramos told the crowd, comparing the scandal-scarred former governor whose resignation she once called for to the current second-place candidate and her colleague in the state legislature, Zohran Mamdani.

Ramos insisted that New York City's battle against the Trump administration demanded more than "hashtags and headline stunts."

"We need delivery over dogma," Ramos said.
