Here at Hell Gate, we're all about black-and-white thinking. There are only two kinds of people in the world: Hell Gate subscribers, and everybody else, a binary that could also be described as WINNERS and LOSERS. (You're also a winner if you're an email-only reader of our newsletters, but be forewarned, you're on thin ice.)
Seriously though, after a year in which we spent a lot of time focusing on electoral politics, we've definitely got victory and defeat on the brain.
So without further ado, here's our final verdict on who's up and who's down as 2025 draws to a close. (And for any Hell Gate historians out there, here's last year's list, and the first edition from back in 2023. Hell Gate might be getting older, but our lust for judging others keeps us young.)
