Feds Indict Cops for Assault and Robbery of Sex Worker After Queens DA Let Them Walk

The Queens DA's office had dismissed the case in December in a move that left one attorney "completely shocked."

On Tuesday, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn announced charges against two former NYPD rookie officers who they say broke into a private home in Queens during the summer of 2024 and robbed a sex worker, with one of the officers also sexually assaulted her.

If the allegations sound extremely similar to those underlying charges levied in state court last year against the very same officers—Justin Colon and Justin McMillan—that's because they are. But maybe this time the charges will stick.
