Traffic Data: Holy Shit, This Congestion Pricing Thing Is Working

Drive times are way down, and isn't that… priceless?

We're now nine days into the city-destroying catastrophe known as "congestion pricing" and the MTA has finally released some cold, hard data showing what this nefarious toll has done to our fair car-centric city. 

Apparently, congestion pricing has actually made it much easier to drive a car in Midtown and Lower Manhattan? Whaaaa? How????? 

Yes, as personally experienced by a professional Hell Gate test driver (and canine passenger) last week, it's actually way more chill to drive into Manhattan below 60th Street these days because you no longer have to be stuck in so much damn congestion. Look at this chart, from the MTA's presentation yesterday on the first week of congestion pricing:
