It's been four months since Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn and her supporters in the Brooklyn Democratic Party, staring down primary election results that appeared likely to cost them control of the party, attempted to jam through new rules guaranteeing themselves permanent control of the party. The resulting shitstorm, spread across multiple lawsuits, restraining orders, charmingly askew public influence campaigns, and Barnum & Bailey party meetings, has been raging ever since.
Thursday afternoon, Judge Peter Sweeney granted a request for yet another temporary restraining order, once again telling members of the schismatic rump leadership bloc that they are not allowed to hold meetings claiming to represent the county party's executive committee, or change any party rules, or destroy any records.
